Treatment All treatment focuses on building skills to address issues in both the short and long-term. Parents are either involved directly in the treatment, or are made aware of the techniques to better support your child in difficult times and situations. Behaviour Are you concerned about your child’s behaviour? I offer behaviour strategies to increase the behaviours you want and decrease the behaviours that are inappropriate. Learning Is your child struggling at school? How does your child learn best? Are they learning to their potential? An assessment can help answer these questions. Counselling There are many ways a child can become overwhelmed in today’s society. If normal emotional responses go on too long, or limit functioning. Counselling may be warranted. Autism Worried about Autism? Gold standard assessment techniques can help address your concerns. Treatments for behavioural difficulties or social skills training are also available. Parenting Does your child require exceptional parenting skills? This service involves in-home observation and analysis of your specific situation and tailoring strategies to be the most effective for your family. This is often done through modeling and feedback to develop advanced parenting skills. Workshops I provide various workshops to Teachers, School Staff, Parents and Caregivers on a range of topics targeted to specific groups and needs. Fees/Insurance Professional fees vary according to the type of service provided. Please call for more details. Payment for services is required at the time of each appointment. If you have insurance coverage, you will then submit the receipt to your insurance company for reimbursement. Cash and cheques are accepted. If you have any questions regarding billing, please do not hesitate to ask. Because services are provided by a qualified registered psychologist, some insurance plans and employee assistance programs may help to cover the costs.
